Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's cousin Ramesh Bishnoi has recently spoken about the blackbuck controversy around Salman Khan. The controversy has now been making headlines for quite some time now and now Ramesh alleged that Salman had earlier offered money to the Bishnoi Community, but they refused to accept it. He also mentioned that the entire community stands with the jailed gangster in the matter. 

Lawrence Bishnoi’s cousin says entire community stands with him

In an interview with NDTV, Lawrence Bishnoi's cousin brother, Ramesh demanded an apology from Salman Khan over the blackbuck hunting case. He said that the actor's family was playing with their religious sentiments and the law would do its job, in case the actor didn't apologize. He further added that their society loves trees and wildlife and their 263 ancestors have sacrificed their lives to save trees. "When Salman Khan killed the blackbuck, every Bishnoi's blood was boiling," he said. 

"But if the community was made fun of, then it is natural for the society to get angry. Today, the entire Bishnoi community stands with Lawrence in this matter," he further added. 

Ramesh Bishnoi then mentioned that Salman Khan's father Salim Khan accused the Lawrence gang of doing this for money. He clarified the claim, asserting, "I want to remind him his son brought a chequebook in front of the community, saying fill in the figures and take it. If we were hungry for money, we would have taken it at that time." According to him, the community's outrage is not about money but about the desecration of their religious sentiments.

It all started in 1998 with the blackbuck poaching case when Salman Khan was accused of killing an endangered animal during the filming of Hum Saath-Saath Hain in Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community considers the blackbuck sacred and this incident ignited years of anger. 

Meanwhile, Lawrence Bishnoi declared in 2018 that he would take justice into his own hands and kill Salman Khan over the case. He is currently in Gujarat's Sabarmati jail and faces numerous charges. Salman Khan has been continuously receiving threats from his gang for years now.
