Since the revelation of the family dispute between Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Manoj, Lakshmi Manchu has chosen to remain silent regarding the situation. The actress, who relocated to Mumbai from Hyderabad in 2023, has been sharing enigmatic messages on her social media platforms without addressing the issue directly.
Lakshmi Manchu’s posts
On Thursday morning, Lakshmi posted a quote from Marcus Aurelius, the former Roman emperor, on X (formerly known as Twitter). The quote states, “What are you afraid of losing, when nothing in the world actually belongs to you.”
And her note on Instagram stories read, “I just don’t want that for myself anymore, is a valid reason to stop anything.”
On Wednesday, she shared a video of her daughter, Vidya Nirvana, on Instagram, accompanied by the caption ‘Peace’ and an evil eye emoji.
Internet reacts
While she refrained from elaborating further, fans speculated whether Lakshmi was alluding to the recent conflict within her family involving her father and brother. One fan commented on X, “Please share the same quote with your father and brothers.” Another added, “I am confident that you will all overcome this... and continue to live happily moving forward.”
A concerned fan expressed, “I am uncertain if this is directed at Manoj, but please find a way to resolve this issue, Akka (sister)... Regardless of the circumstances, embrace Manoj Anna (brother), his wife, and children wholeheartedly, and address everything privately.”
What happened
On Monday, Mohan lodged a police complaint against his son, Manoj, and daughter-in-law, Bhuma Mounika, accusing them of assault and conspiring to seize his property. In response, Manoj filed a separate complaint with the police, omitting the names of his family members, claiming he had been physically assaulted. This allegation was substantiated by a medical report.
The situation escalated when Manoj was barred from entering Mohan's residence. In an attempt to gain access, he brought members of the press, which led to a confrontation between him and his father. Following this incident, Mohan was hospitalized, and Vishnu Manchu addressed the media regarding the matter, choosing not to disclose further specifics about the events that transpired.
Manoj has asserted that the conflict originated from his inquiries into the management of Mohan Babu University.
