Lakshmi Manchu has announced that her Instagram account has been compromised

Lakshmi took to X (previously known as Twitter) to share, "My Instagram has been hacked. Please avoid interacting with anything on my stories. If I need money, I'll reach out to you directly — not through social media. I'll update you once everything is sorted out..." She also posted a screenshot from WhatsApp, adding, "They even got my number! This is really frightening!"

Fans voiced their worries about her safety. One user pointed out, "This seems like a typical phishing scam! They’re probably using your name from your WhatsApp settings to make it look real. They’re trying to steal your information. Stay safe!" Another user warned, "Watch out for this Nigerian person." A third chimed in, "Take care, akka!"

Lakshmi recently grabbed attention after she broke down in tears when reuniting with her brother Manoj at her annual fundraising fashion show for Teach For Change in Hyderabad. In a video shared by a paparazzo, Manoj surprised Lakshmi by sneaking up and reaching out for a hug. Upon seeing him, Lakshmi was taken aback and immediately started crying. Manoj and his wife, Bhuma Mounika, comforted her and wiped her tears as she expressed her gratitude for their presence. Later, when Telugu 360 asked Manoj about his sister's tears, he joked, “We haven’t seen each other in a while. She was upset that I arrived late.”
