Nevertheless, during a dialogue with The Hollywood Reporter, she elaborated on the significance of the title and the responsibilities it entails.

Nayanthara, a distinguished actress, is affectionately referred to as Lady Superstar by her admirers. While this title carries certain expectations, she recently expressed in an interview, “That is another controversy. The level of criticism I have faced solely due to this title is astonishing. For the last five to six years, I have advised my producers and directors against including the title card, as it causes me anxiety. My career is not defined by this title, nor do I intend to usurp anyone else's title. It holds little significance for me, although I do appreciate the love and respect that people have for me.”
She further remarked that while she may not consider herself the finest actress or performer, it is "unfair" to place her under scrutiny. "I always strive to comprehend the issues that arise when a woman achieves success, yet there seems to be a problem," she noted.

Nayanthara expressed that she experiences a blend of joy and sorrow in response to the animosity directed towards her. On a more optimistic note, she mentioned that witnessing the success of women in various professions feels like a "personal victory" for her.
