Los Angeles had an unforgettable night filled with music and giving back on Thursday, as more than twenty artists joined forces for the incredible FireAid concert. Taking place at the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome in Inglewood, this five-hour event raised essential funds for those affected by the terrible fires in the L.A. region. Lady Gaga, one of the many talented performers, wrapped up the concert with a surprise by singing an original song.

The Poker Face artist wowed the audience at the FireAid concert by debuting a new track just before wrapping up the show. Along with this fresh tune, she also belted out popular songs from her 2018 film, A Star Is Born. As the final act of the night, she shared, “This has been a horrible scary time. But during these times, I feel like people come together and we see how much we need each other. And I want to always remember us just like this,” according to NBC news.
The star-studded lineup also featured performances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katy Perry, No Doubt, Earth Wind & Fire, Dr. Dre, Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morissette, Stevie Nicks, Anderson .Paak, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, Mike Campbell, and Olivia Rodrigo. Additionally, surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear took the stage alongside St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, Joan Jett, and Grohl’s daughter, Violet, to perform some of the band's classic hits.
Many artists expressed their gratitude to first responders for their support and commended the city’s strength in the wake of the disaster. Gracie Abrams, who grew up in the Pacific Palisades area—one of the hardest hit by the wildfires—shared her thoughts on the tragedy, saying, “I think that this is just such a beautiful reflection of what music does, is bring people together in this way. And I’m just inspired by all of you in this community, and I love Los Angeles very much.”
Here are some other standout moments from the FireAid concert
Music mogul Irving Azoff and his wife, Shelli, jumped into action to set up FireAid after the terrible fires, teaming up with Live Nation and the Los Angeles Clippers to make it happen, as noted on the FireAid website. Azoff, who used to be the CEO of Ticketmaster and is a big name in the music scene, told The Wrap that they managed to get 25 streaming partners on board, so fans all over the world could tune in.
All the money raised from the concert will go towards helping with fire relief in the city, as the organizers confirmed. Steve Ballmer, the Clippers' owner, and his wife, Connie, have promised to match every donation made.
Besides the performances from artists, there were also speakers on stage, including firefighters and individuals who lost their homes in the wildfires. One of them was Grayson Roberts, a 10-year-old from Altadena, whose family lost everything. He spoke to the enthusiastic crowd with a grin, saying, “When life gives you lemons or burnt houses, you make lemonade.”
