The 38-year-old pop icon and actress showcased her versatility by serving as both the host and musical guest during the March 8 episode, presenting a remarkable performance that generated considerable excitement among fans.

Gaga took on a dual role as both host and performer in the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. She commenced the evening with a comedic monologue, humorously addressing her involvement in Joker: Folie à Deux and recalling her debut on SNL in 2013. As the program progressed into a variety of sketches, the atmosphere transformed as the 14-time Grammy Award winner captivated the audience with two dynamic performances from her recently released album.

The singer of "Poker Face" ignited the stage with a choreographed rendition of "Abracadabra," adorned in a dazzling red outfit surrounded by dancers. This was followed by her performance of "Killah," which began from backstage at Studio 8H and transitioned to the main stage, where she continued with a live band amidst a vibrant celebration, as reported by Billboard.

Lady Gaga didn’t want Mayhem to be ‘artificial’

Mayhem features a wide array of production collaborators, including Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and Michael Polansky, who is engaged to Gaga. In a recent interview with Billboard, the pop icon discussed the album's creative journey, indicating that its frenetic, energetic essence was intentionally designed to mirror the chaos and intensity she faced during its development.

She expressed to the publication, “There have been moments in my career when I had a clear vision for how to conceptually approach an album. However, I would say that this project, from beginning to end, felt like various elements coming together.”

The artist further remarked, “I aimed to avoid creating something artificial; I truly wanted to let myself follow the music. In doing so, it gradually began to evoke memories of my earlier work.”
