Nitanshi Goel made her entry into Bollywood with Kiran Rao's film Laapataa Ladies in 2024, where she portrayed the character Phool Kumari. The film received critical acclaim, and Nitanshi's performance garnered significant praise. In a recent interview, she reflected on her experiences following the release of Laapataa Ladies and addressed the comparisons made between her and Shraddha Kapoor.

In her conversation with Hindustan Times, Nitanshi mentioned that fans frequently liken her to Shraddha Kapoor during her early career, a comparison she views as flattering. "Whenever I come across comments suggesting I resemble Shraddha Kapoor in her early days, it truly brightens my day," she remarked.

Nitanshi admires Shraddha for her 'effortless charm' and the affection she receives for her 'warmth' and 'relatability.' "If people perceive even a hint of her in me, it is a tremendous compliment. I remember watching a dance video of hers to 'Sun Saathiya' from ABCD 2, which played in my home constantly," she added.

The actress reminisced about imitating Shraddha's dance moves and practicing them diligently. She confessed to being 'obsessed' with Kapoor and considers herself her 'biggest fan.'

Nitanshi Goel on life after Laapataa Ladies

Regarding her life post-Laapataa Ladies, Nitanshi discussed the changes she experienced after the film's theatrical release. Reflecting on the past year, she stated, "It’s been a year, yet it feels as if it were just yesterday when we were promoting the film, and someone recognized me as Phool on the streets."

Following Laapataa Ladies, Nitanshi appeared in Ajay Devgn's film Maidaan, directed by Amit Sharma. This sports drama was released in theaters on April 10, 2024, where she played the role of Ajay's daughter. Despite being produced by Zee Studios, Bayview Projects, and Fresh Lime Films, the film did not perform well at the box office.
