Kusha Kapila may have finalized her divorce from Zorawar Ahluwalia last year, yet the repercussions of that separation continue to affect not only her but also her family. During a discussion on We Are Yuvaa's Be A Parent Yaar chat, Kusha's mother, Rita Kapila, acknowledged that her daughter's divorce has had an impact on her own social interactions.

Rita recounted

“After the incident occurred, I began visiting the temple earlier than usual to avoid being seen or questioned. Your father once remarked, ‘Why are you afraid? No one will inquire about it.’ However, one day, an acquaintance did ask me something related to the situation at the temple. I felt quite unsettled on my way home and ended up in tears.”

She continued, “Your father took the time to explain to me that it is not a significant issue; it is simply a part of life. He reassured me that ‘Ups and downs will always be present, and there is no need to feel overwhelmed.’ He reached out to all my relatives, instructing them not to discuss the matter with me. After that, no one brought it up again. Someone even confronted that aunty, questioning her about discussing such matters at the temple. She later apologized to me,” Rita added, which elicited laughter from Kusha.

Regarding her divorce

Kusha expressed her worries about the potential effects on her mother's social life and encouraged Rita to remain resilient. However, she also reflected, with tears in her eyes, that the past two years have significantly strengthened her. Her mother reassured her that while the divorce and its consequences were indeed “challenging,” it was ultimately manageable. Initially, Kusha faced accusations of being a “gold-digger” and a “cheater,” but as her mother noted, those rumours have since faded. Currently, the focus surrounding Kusha is primarily on her professional endeavours.

Kusha, who gained fame as a content creator and social media influencer, has also ventured into acting. She was recently featured in the film Ishq Vishk Rebound and the series Life Hill Gayi.
