Attack and the assailant

The individual who reportedly broke into Saif's home last month with the intention of theft was identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who subsequently attacked him. Following a violent confrontation, the assailant stabbed the actor multiple times, including in the thoracic spine. Saif was promptly transported to Lilavati Hospital for emergency treatment.

Kunal conveyed to ANI that his immediate thought was, "Is Saif okay?" Once they confirmed his safety, the surrounding chaos became less significant; ensuring his well-being was the priority.

Kunal noted that Saif has publicly addressed all inquiries regarding the attack. He believes Saif has recently given an interview that thoroughly covers the discussions surrounding the incident. In Kunal's view, Saif's articulation of the events is particularly effective, and since he has already provided clarity, there is no need for further elaboration.

Kunal elaborated on the entire experience, expressing his initial shock upon learning that Saif was in the hospital, facing surgery after being stabbed. He received a call around six in the morning, but the details were scarce.
