"When false negative information is published about me, it’s not just frustrating for myself but also impacts my family. It’s particularly aggravating when random rumours, like me supposedly getting married, start circulating," Kriti shared.

Kriti, who was last seen in the heist comedy Crew, also reflected on the negative effects of these fake rumours. She explained how it is a task to explain to her friends that the marriage rumours spiralling on social media and the internet are not true.

The Bareilly ki Barfi star also took a jibe at people who spread false rumours without verifying facts. She also narrated how social media has become a place filled with criticism and trolls with celebrities often entangled in a web of controversies when their words are twisted and misinterpreted.

"Having to constantly correct these falsehoods is incredibly irritating and ends up being more bothersome than anything else. People often forget that the person on the receiving end is also human. There’s a trend where people derive satisfaction from posting negative comments online," Kriti added.

Kriti and Kabir sparked dating rumours when pictures surfaced on the internet. In the picture, the rumoured love birds were spotted partying on a Greek island.
