Krishna Ajai Rao has been a part of the Kannada film scene for more than twenty years and has achieved quite a few successes along the way. However, the actor, who last appeared in the 2022 film Shokiwala, feels that his recognition and fame haven't increased as much as he would have hoped. Even now, Ajai doesn't quite stand alongside many of his peers. He attributes this to a lack of encouragement and support from industry insiders, which has pushed him to take control of his career by producing the films he wants to be a part of.

Ajai's upcoming film, Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2, marks his second production and he’s confident it will earn him the recognition he’s been striving for. During a media event where he announced the film's release date—April 18, 2025—Ajai shared, “I believe Yuddhakaanda is the project that will place me among the leading stars in the industry. I haven’t received the recognition and respect I deserve, but I don’t hold anyone accountable for that. Since no one else is stepping up to help me achieve my rightful place, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands. I’ve come to understand that I need to shape my own future.”

Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2 is a courtroom drama that centers on a mother and daughter’s quest for justice, with Ajai portraying a lawyer named Bharath. He emphasizes that the film’s core message is that justice delayed is justice denied, a theme he feels is crucial to share nationwide. Produced as a mid-level project to the best of his abilities, Ajai believes the film’s compelling content has the potential to gain recognition throughout India. Rather than waiting for the film to find its audience, he’s committed to actively promoting it to ensure it captures the nation’s attention.

Ajai is considering the idea of screening the film for the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, as he thinks it will really draw attention to the important issue it addresses.
