Kishore Reveals: The Real Reason Rajinikanth & Shivarajkumar Still Do Films

Throughout his nearly two-decade film career, actor Kishore has worked alongside prominent stars from various industries, including Sudeep, Yash, Allu Arjun, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Mammootty, and Mohanlal. However, he particularly highlights two actors for their unwavering commitment to cinema: Shivarajkumar and Rajinikanth. Both have enjoyed extensive and distinguished careers and have reached a point where they are not required to transition from one film set to another. Nevertheless, they continue to do so, a choice Kishore attributes not to financial motivations.
He asserts that the experience and acclaim they have accumulated over the years are being directed towards sustaining and enhancing the vitality of cinema. “For example, a phenomenon known as Rajinikanth has emerged, and it must be utilized for the benefit of both the audience and the film industry for as long as possible. He is endeavoring to extend this phenomenon to its fullest potential, which is why he continues to act. While some may suggest that he should retire, why should he? It is immensely entertaining to watch him, for instance, stylishly defeat me in a film,” Kishore remarked during his discussion with Kairam Vaashi.
Kishore further emphasizes that regardless of the commercial performance of certain films, the ongoing work of Rajinikanth and Shivarajkumar provides a steady source of income for a significant number of individuals involved in the film industry. He notes that Shivarajkumar views acting as a profession that he must engage in daily, akin to any other job.
Kishore, known for his roles in Rajinikanth's films Jailer and Vettaiyan, has confirmed that he will not be appearing in Jailer 2. His upcoming project is the Malayalam film Vadakkan, set to premiere in theaters on March 7. Subsequently, he will feature in Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2: Empuraan. Additionally, he is involved in Salman Khan's Eid release, Sikandar.
