Himesh Reshammiyas film Badass Ravikumar premiered in theaters on February 7, and the straightforward action film has captured widespread attention. The excitement surrounding the movie surged immediately following the release of its trailer online. The memorable one-liners contributed to the trailer becoming one of the most viewed clips on social media. While the film continues to perform well at the box office, actress Kirti Kulhari shared her thoughts on joining the cast of Badass Ravikumar. In a recent interview, she mentioned that her choice to participate in the film has surprised many.

Kirti Kulhari reveals reason behind taking up Badass Ravikumar

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Kirti, recognized for her roles in projects such as Mission Mangal, Four More Shots Please!, and Pink, expressed that her role in Badass Ravikumar represented a departure from her typical acting style, whereas Hisaab Barabar served as a reaffirmation of her established persona. She recently appeared in the ZEE5 film Hisaab Barabar, sharing the screen with R Madhavan and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Kirit refers to it as a 'good balance.' She remarked that with Badass, there are individuals who are pleasantly surprised by her innovative and unexpected approach. However, there are also those who react negatively, questioning, 'What has happened to her? We believed she only engaged in meaningful endeavors?'

'People are wondering if I did the film in some majboori'

The actress further stated that there is a perception among people that she participated in the film out of necessity. However, she refuted these assertions, explaining, "Badass Ravi Kumar is a quintessential commercial film, which many did not anticipate from me; this is why the audience is unsure of how to respond. They are questioning whether my involvement in the film was due to some form of compulsion. In reality, I chose to do the film because otherwise, I would have taken myself too seriously."

The film Badass Ravikumar features prominent performances by Johnny Lever, Prabhu Deva, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sunny Leone, and Sanjay Mishra in significant roles. It is directed by Keith Gomes. Preliminary estimates indicate that this action spoof has garnered a total of Rs 6.75 Cr thus far.
