BTS's Kim Taehyung, better known as V, is currently in military service. Still, he's managed to get everyone talking online by sharing an update about his impressive weight loss journey.

BTS' V shares that he has dropped 10 kg

On Sunday, BTS' V shared some gym selfies with his fans. He posted a couple of workout photos on Weverse, where he also mentioned that he’s shed 10 kg, jokingly saying, “So recently…! I lost a lot of weight, right? I lost 10 kg…hahahaha. I’ll keep putting in the work.”

In one of the shots, he was sitting on a chest press machine, snapping a mirror selfie while sporting a grey tank top that showcased his well-defined biceps. He had a mask covering his face and a cap on his head. In another photo, he was holding an EZ bar, giving a great view of his muscles.

Fans are losing their cool

Fans were thrilled by the photos and surprised to see how much weight the singer had lost. One comment said, “10 kg is serious business. I’m really proud of him for focusing on his health.” Another fan expressed, “Wow, he looks so handsome! I’m at a loss for words—I’m totally charmed.” Someone else chimed in, “Taehyung, OMG! He looks amazing.” Another fan exclaimed, “I’m going crazy!” One comment noted, “He looks like a runway model all the time.”

Before starting his military training, V assured his fans during a live stream that he would “bulk up to 86 kg,” and since then, his journey to build his physique has been a hot topic among fans. V began his military service in December 2023 and is set to be discharged by June 10, 2025. In South Korea, military service is mandatory for all able-bodied men under 30. Fans are eagerly counting down the days until his return.

In the meantime, there are whispers about BTS’ V possibly joining the cast of Netflix’s hit series Squid Game 3. In January, during an interview with BuzzFeed UK, the faces of Squid Game stars Lee Jung Jae and Wi Ha Joon lit up at the mention of V’s name. Lee quickly cut in, saying, “I can’t say anything about that,” while a smiling Wi Ha Joon stuck to his “No comment” response.
