Dating rumours involving Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron have resurfaced following the tragic passing of the Bloodhounds actress last month, which officials have since classified as a suicide.

On Monday, Gold Medalist, the agency representing the Queen of Tears actor, formally denied the relationship allegations made by the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (also known as HoverLab Inc).

The channel asserted that the K-drama star had been in a romantic relationship with Kim Sae Ron for six years, claiming that their alleged involvement began when she was just 15 years old. In a video published on March 10, the channel stated that these claims had been corroborated by the deceased actress's parents, and included a phone interview with a family member.

YouTube channel also linked K-pop group BTS to a past drug case

Shortly thereafter, Kim Soo Hyun's agency issued a statement indicating their intention to pursue legal action against the YouTube channel. Notably, the Garosero Research Institute is the same channel that previously made allegations linking members of BTS to a drug-related incident.

In a prior video, Garosero Institute asserted that two members of the globally renowned K-pop group were frequent patrons of a hostess bar purportedly associated with drug cases involving BIGBANG's G-Dragon and actor Lee Sun Kyun from Parasite. At that time, BTS's management company, HYBE, categorically refuted any such associations between the establishment and its artists.

"BTS is entirely unrelated to the aforementioned rumor, and the claim is utterly false. We will take decisive action against the reckless dissemination of such rumors," stated a portion of the official response.

YouTube channel responds to Kim Soo Hyun agency's lawsuit claim

In response to the threat of legal action from Kim Soo Hyun's agency, the channel posted on its YouTube community, stating, “It appears that Kim Soo Hyun is unfamiliar with Kim Se Yi from the Garosero Research Institute, haha.”

As reported by AllKpop, they further remarked, “Legal action? Even the globally recognized BTS once claimed they would pursue 'legal action' against Garosero. 

What was the outcome? Everyone ended up enlisting in the military. 

Now, Kim Soo Hyun, who enjoys popularity primarily in China, is considering legal measures? 

Our Garosero did not operate from just anywhere… We obtained materials and conducted interviews directly with Kim Sae Ron’s family! Why not attempt the 'legal action' tactic against the family as well? Haha.”

Garosero Institute blames YouTuber Lee Jin Ho for Kim Sae Ron's death

A Naver article has highlighted public concerns regarding allegations against Kim Soo Hyun, particularly fears that he may have had a sexual relationship with Kim Sae Ron. The article also referenced reporter Lee Jin Ho.

The father of the late actress has previously addressed the media, indicating his intention to pursue legal action against the YouTuber and other individuals contributing to Se Ron’s distress during her DUI controversy.

“Our Garosero Research Institute asserts that the left-wing pro-China reporter Lee Jin Ho has played a role in driving actress Kim Sae Ron to her tragic end. A petition seeking the punishment of Lee Jin Ho, which requires 50,000 signatures, is currently being circulated in the National Assembly. We urge everyone to actively participate to reach the signature goal within a month,” stated the Garosero Institute.

Additionally, a post from the YouTube community remarked, “Entertainment reporter and YouTuber Lee Jin Ho has persistently harassed the vulnerable actress Kim Sae Ron. Despite this, he has not issued an apology. It is imperative that he be prohibited from profiting, and that his YouTube channel be removed. We encourage participation in the petition.”
