The late Kim Sae-ron's husband has revealed details about their brief relationship, including how they met, married, and subsequently decided to separate, all within a period of less than three months. According to a report by Koreaboo, he issued a statement through the Garo Sero Research Institute, where he also dismissed rumors regarding Sae-ron's alleged pregnancy.

In his statement, he mentioned that he first encountered Sae-ron in mid-to-late November 2024. He expressed that they felt a strong attraction to one another despite the short duration of their acquaintance, leading to their marriage in the United States on January 12, 2025.

While not specifying the exact timeline, he noted that they later agreed to "annul the marriage by mutual consent." He explained that their decision stemmed from marrying "too hastily without thorough consideration, driven by their love" during a long-distance relationship, as well as "differences in their personalities."

Sae-ron's husband denies claims of forced marriage

He strongly denied allegations that Sae-ron was compelled to marry due to a pregnancy. He stated, “It is entirely false that she was pregnant. The rumors about her pregnancy surfaced in January 2025, but we first met in mid-to-late November 2024. Our relationship became serious towards the end of November when she visited the United States.”

He further elaborated, "The timelines do not align. Additionally, we were not contemplating having children, as Kim Sae-ron was on birth control pills. It is a grave insult to the late Kim Sae-ron to suggest that she was coerced into marriage due to pregnancy or any other threats. Who marries under duress?"

Why Sae-ron, her husband decided to end marriage

Sae-ron and her husband made the decision to dissolve their marriage, believing it would be more prudent to do so discreetly, without disclosing that they had been married for a brief period abroad. He expressed concerns about the dissemination of misleading information regarding their personal lives and marriage, as well as unverified allegations from her former boyfriend, which were circulated through recordings by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, Director Kwak Tae Young, and her past manager.

In the midst of the controversy involving Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Jin Ho released a voice recording in which Sae-ron purportedly acknowledged her marriage. Additionally, it was reported that she had mentioned being pregnant and having undergone an abortion. Tragically, Sae-ron was found deceased at her residence in February of this year.
