Kim Min-jae’s Heartfelt Message to Fans After Military Discharge

Actor Kim Min-jae has officially completed his military service and has been discharged from the South Korean armed forces. According to Soompi, which cited a statement from his agency, YAMYAM Entertainment, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans upon his return. The agency announced on Monday that Min-jae has fulfilled his 18-month duty.

Min-jae gets military discharge, pens note

In a message relayed through his agency, Min-jae stated, “I am thankful to all the fans who patiently awaited my return. I missed you all greatly. My time in the military provided me with invaluable experiences and lessons. Since you have been so supportive, I will strive to repay that by engaging in even more activities.”

Min-jae began his military service in September 2023, serving as an active-duty soldier in the army's military band. He distinguished himself as an elite trainee during his five-week basic training.

When Min-jae had a gym session with BTS V

Last September, Min-jae took a break from his military duties to work out with BTS member Kim Taehyung during their vacation. Gym instructor Ma Sun-ho shared a photo on Instagram featuring Min-jae and Sun-ho flanking Taehyung as they posed in front of a mirror.

In his post, Sun-ho remarked, "Taehyung and Min-jae, two dedicated young men who continue to exercise even while on vacation. I feel great after two days of full-body workouts! I envy your youth and your looks. I look forward to our next holiday together. Let’s enjoy soy sauce crabs again.”

About Min-jae's career

In addition to his acting career, Min-jae is also a rapper. He participated in the rap competition Show Me the Money 4 in 2015. His acting credits include television series such as Second 20s (2015), My First Time (2015), Dr. Romantic (2016), Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016), Tempted (2018), and Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency (2019).

Fans have also seen him in Dr. Romantic 2 (2020), Do You Like Brahms (2020), Dali & Cocky Prince (2021), and Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist (2022). His last project before enlisting was Dr. Romantic 3 (2023).
