Despite their widely publicized separation, reality television personality Kim Kardashian and rapper Ye, previously known as Kanye West, have managed to foster a friendly environment during their reunions, prioritizing the well-being of their children.

Recently, the former couple came together to support their eldest daughter, North, who is 11 years old, as she performed at the Hollywood Bowl in May during a concert event celebrating The Lion King. Both Kim, aged 44, and Kanye, aged 47, were present backstage to encourage her before she took the stage. This moment was captured in an episode of The Kardashians, which aired on February 20.

Kim and Kanye's chill reunion

During the concert, North delivered a heartfelt performance of "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" in front of a large audience, which reportedly left her mother, Kim Kardashian, feeling extremely anxious backstage, as noted by People.

Kim expressed that she experienced a near "heart attack" due to her nerves regarding her daughter's performance. While preparing in the dressing room, Kanye was there to support his ex-wife.

"Her dad has been involved and he came to rehearsal," Kim remarked about Kanye's participation.

At one point, Kanye West inquired about the possibility of altering the graphics for the performance, to which Kim responded affirmatively, stating, "Of course, of course. And I just look at them and I'm like, 'It will be a better production (if you take his notes). Kanye and I want the best for the kids. And so anytime we’re here supporting our child, it’s always good vibes.'"

Before her performance, North was seen standing between her parents, holding their hands as they formed a prayer circle together.

Following the performance, both Kim and Kanye were present to celebrate North's achievement. The rapper praised her efforts, telling her she did "so good" after North revealed she was "praying every second" during her time on stage.

Her siblings, Chicago, aged 7, and Saint, aged 9, were also backstage to support her after the performance.

Kim expressed her pride regarding North's performance, stating that it was a gratifying experience as a mother to witness her child enjoying herself without any signs of nervousness.

About the couple

Regarding the couple, after her brief 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian began a relationship with Kanye West in 2012 while still navigating the legal dissolution of her previous marriage. Although Kim and Kanye first crossed paths in the early 2000s, their friendship did not solidify until 2008. They welcomed their daughter, North West, in June 2013 and subsequently married in May 2014. Following six years of marriage, Kim filed for divorce in 2021, and a settlement was reached on November 29, 2022. The couple shares four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Initially, their separation was described as "amicable," with Kim seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children; however, the situation has since deteriorated. Kanye is now married to Bianca Censori.
