In the most recent episode of season 6 of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian traveled to Mumbai to participate in the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. During their visit, the sisters took the opportunity to explore the city, meeting with Jay Shetty to visit an ashram where they volunteered to serve food. Subsequently, they expressed how much they valued this enriching experience.

In this episode, Jay and his wife Radhi took Kim and Khloe to an ashram where Jay had previously lived as a monk. Reflecting on her experience, Kim expressed that immersing herself in a different culture broadened her perspective on various aspects of life.

She remarked, “Overall, what we have felt throughout this trip is that there are countless experiences we have yet to encounter. In a world where we have extensive access to many things and where life moves rapidly, it is easy to become desensitized. However, when we travel to a place with such a distinct culture, we truly appreciate the opportunity to step back for a moment and absorb everything, living fully in the present.”

Khloe concurred, noting that their background is rooted in a ‘very materialistic environment,’ making their journey to India a necessary experience for both sisters. She stated, “This has been an extraordinary experience being at the temple with everyone, and we genuinely feel fortunate to be here. Coming from a very materialistic background, visiting this temple, feeding the children, and being in the presence of Jay and his wife, along with the overall spirituality, provided a balance that we certainly needed.”

During their visit to India last year, Jay shared photographs with Kim and Khloe, stating, “A fundamental aspect of the tradition is seva (service), and we participated in the temple's food distribution initiative, which provides meals to over 2 million children daily. It was a remarkable experience to introduce them to my monk teachers—truly a day to remember!”
