Kim Kardashian went all out to ensure her kids had an unforgettable Christmas. Keeping up a tradition from her ex-husband Kanye West, the reality star brought in Grammy-winning pianist Philip Cornish for a special holiday concert just for her family.

This exclusive gig didn’t come cheap, as Kim is said to have shelled out a six-figure amount to really get into the festive mood.

Instead of using alarm clocks, Kim has been bringing in a private pianist to wake them up during December for several years now. She invites Philip Cornish to their home, and he’s been working with Kanye since 2019.

Every morning in December, Philip plays Christmas tunes at her place. An insider mentioned that Kanye wanted to bring some “magic” into their kids’ mornings with these special wake-up calls.

Even though Kim was a bit unsure about the whole thing at first, she’s surprisingly kept up the tradition post-divorce.

According to the insider who spoke to The Sun, “the kids absolutely love it, and Kim has come to enjoy it as well. For Philip, it’s just as much fun for him as it is for the family.”

Philip would totally do it for free and even tells Kim that, but he does get a paycheck. Instead of getting paid daily, he receives a one-time payment that’s now well over six figures, according to the source.

But the musician's gig isn’t just about that hefty paycheck for a month’s work. He also enjoys gourmet meals made by Kim's personal chef and gets Christmas gifts from the Kardashian family.

The insider mentioned that Philip is “really happy with the vibe and how he’s treated” at the mansion.

Sources also pointed out that Philip lives close to Kim’s place, making it super easy for him to get there, especially for those early morning gigs. They added, “...He’s even gotten closer to the kids and teaches North some piano. He’s really become part of the family.”
