Kim Kardashian is sharing her experiences dealing with the aftermath of her split from Kanye West. In the February 13 episode of The Kardashians, Khloe Kardashian talked about her emotional reunion with her ex-husband Lamar Odom after being apart for nine years. This discussion brought back memories for Kim, leading her to think about her own difficulties during her divorce from the rapper.

Kim Kardashian shares her thoughts on her split from West

Khloe looked back on her marriage to Lamar Odom and admitted that she "rushed into it" back then. Even with all the ups and downs, she shared that she wouldn’t change her choice. She expressed, “He was the love of my life. If it weren’t for drugs, I truly believe we’d still be together today. I know I chose the right person at that time. None of us realized he was struggling with addiction until about a year later. That was really scary.”

Her words seemed to resonate with Kim, who reflected on her own split from West, saying, “That’s the toughest part. I totally understand. When something unexpected happens that alters someone’s personality, and suddenly they’re not the same person anymore, it’s hard to cope. You can’t go back to who they were, and living with the new version just doesn’t work.”

She added, “It’s even harder when you don’t want your marriage to end for personal reasons, but life throws curveballs that make it unavoidable. When you didn’t see it coming and it’s not the outcome you hoped for, it definitely makes moving on more challenging,” as reported by People Magazine.

Kim Kardashian's wish to get a divorce

In the court documents, as reported by People magazine, Kardashian requested to be declared legally single before the divorce was wrapped up, pointing out the ongoing issues and conflicts between them at that time. She mentioned, “I really want to be divorced. I’ve asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he hasn’t respected that. He’s been sharing a lot of false information about our family matters and co-parenting on social media, which has caused me a lot of emotional stress.”

She continued, “Even though I hoped our marriage would work out, I’ve realized there’s no way to fix it. Kanye doesn’t see it that way, but it seems he’s finally understood that I want to end our marriage, even if he doesn’t agree.”
