Kieran Culkin captivated both his wife and the audience at the Oscars with his acceptance speech after winning the Best Supporting Actor award on Sunday, March 2. He took a moment to acknowledge his wife, Jazz Charton, who was present at the prestigious event.

The 42-year-old star of Succession received the accolade for his role in Jesse Eisenberg's thriller, A Real Pain, and humorously requested two additional children from his wife, a British advertising professional.

He recounted a humorous exchange that took place following last year's Emmys, where he jokingly noted that Charton had promised him a third child contingent upon his winning an award that evening.

As he shared this anecdote with the audience, he revealed that his wife had indeed pledged to have another child if he were to win an Oscar. 

“After the show, we’re walking through a parking lot … and she goes, ‘Oh, God, I did say that!’” Culkin recounted. “‘I guess I owe you a third kid.’ I then replied, ‘Really, I want four.’ And she looked at me – I swear this happened just over a year ago – and said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’”

While looking at his wife in the audience, he expressed his affection for her and added, “no pressure,” but “let’s get cracking on those kids, what do’ya say?”

Throughout the story, Charton laughed and nodded in agreement, displaying a blend of surprise and joy.

Kieran Culkin and Jazz Charton, who first crossed paths in a New York pub in 2012, are the proud parents of two children, Kinsey Sioux and Wilder Wolfe.

Thanks to his prominent role in HBO's Succession, Culkin's financial situation has improved considerably over the years, yet he continues to maintain a modest lifestyle despite his estimated net worth of $5 million. For a decade, the 42-year-old actor resided in a small one-bedroom apartment in New York City with his family.

In 2013, the couple exchanged their vows in Iowa while traveling across the United States. Reflecting on their wedding years later, Charton shared on Instagram, “Seven years ago, we fell in love with Iowa. We said ‘I do’ in the rain with three strangers,” as reported by Hello!

Charton, originally from London, was raised by her mother, “Coco” Charton, who is a model and actress. She moved to New York City in 2010 for a temporary position but ultimately chose to make the United States her permanent residence.

Prior to the arrival of their son, Culkin revealed that he and his then-pregnant wife spent several nights on a mattress in their living room, having given their bedroom to their daughter.

The couple now enjoys a more spacious three-bedroom home in New York City, providing ample room for their entire family.

This larger living space will be beneficial, as Culkin is keen on expanding their family further.
