Kiccha Sudeep, a prominent figure in the Kannada film industry, is keenly aware of the challenges currently facing it. He believes that the most significant issue at present is the lack of individuals who appreciate the Kannada language and culture.

Kiccha Sudeep: There is a deficiency of individuals who appreciate Kannada.

The primary obstacle facing the Kannada film industry is the insufficient number of individuals who appreciate Kannada culture. In regions of the state where there is a strong presence of Kannada enthusiasts, the situation is favourable. However, this is not the case in urban areas, which are characterized by a diverse population from various parts of the country. I do not oppose this diversity; rather, the concern lies in the fact that the fundamental market for Kannada cinema is located in these cities, yet there are not enough supporters to maintain it. This has led to an ongoing struggle against competing languages. Our challenges originate from this situation, and all other issues are merely extensions of it, states the actor.

Kiccha Sudeep on his decision to step down as the host of Bigg Boss Kannada: ‘Audiences deserve…’

Sudeep believes that the key lies in setting aside distractions and concentrating on the essentials—specifically, the creation of films and ensuring they are produced to the highest standard. He notes, “There are also instances of audiences from other states engaging with Kannada cinema. Therefore, the goal should be to create films that appeal to such viewers.”

Currently, Sudeep is actively promoting his upcoming film, Max, which is scheduled to premiere in theatres on December 25. In this film, he portrays a police officer named Arjun Mahakshay, known as Max due to the fear he instils in those who cross his path. As he prepares to return to duty following a suspension, Max finds himself compelled to take decisive action, including the use of force, to safeguard his station and colleagues.

In anticipation of the release of Max, here are five essential Kiccha Sudeep films featuring him in a police role.

Max was originally promoted as a pan-India film and will also feature Tamil and Telugu versions; however, these versions are scheduled for release on December 27. Although Sudeep initially began the dubbing process for these adaptations, he ultimately ceased his efforts when the release date was delayed.
