This involvement included participation in events such as the Celebrity Cricket League and the Karnataka Chalanachitra Cup. He humorously recognized this notion but expressed his intention to change it, declaring that the era of focusing on a single film at a time has concluded. He aims to have at least two films prepared within the next 18 months.

In the past four weeks, Sudeep has been at the helm of the Karnataka Bulldozers during the 2025 season of the Celebrity Cricket League. Unfortunately, on the evening of March 1, the team faced defeat in the semi-final against the Chenani Rhinos in Mysuru. Sudeep expressed his gratitude to fans on X, stating, “Thank you to each one of you for your unwavering support for #KarnatakaBulldozers. The team put forth its best effort, and indeed, the superior team emerged victorious. I also extend my appreciation to the friends in Mysuru for their warm welcome and affection,” while conveying his best wishes to the finalists, Chennai Rhinos and Punjab De Sher.

Now that his CCL duties are over, fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the film set, given that Sudeep had tweeted earlier that he would kickstart Billa Ranga Baashaa (BRB) , his much-awaited second collaboration with Anup Bhandari, in the second week of March. The responses to Sudeep’s thank you tweet for the CCL support reflected this, as fans asked him not to delay the start of BRB any further.

In the meantime, before the commencement of Bigg Boss Kannada 11, Sudeep had indicated his intention to step down from his hosting role, a decision he later confirmed during the season. The producers remain optimistic about persuading him to return, but as it stands, he appears to be available to concentrate exclusively on his film career until the CCL 2026 begins.
