This documentary is set to unveil "never-before-seen footage" and insights into the mistreatment, deception, and disputes that affected Lee in his later years, highlighting those who purportedly took advantage of his deteriorating health, as reported by CNN.

The intricate and contentious circumstances surrounding Lee's last years gained public attention in 2018, when his daughter, J.C. Lee, secured an elder abuse restraining order against Keya Morgan, a former business manager and trusted associate of Lee. Morgan, a memorabilia dealer from New York, became involved with Lee during the latter part of his life, but their relationship soured amid emerging legal accusations, as noted by The Guardian.

What were charges against Keya Morgan?

Morgan faced allegations of embezzling more than $5 million in artwork, cash, and various assets from Lee during the latter's final years, which included proceeds from memorabilia sales. In 2018, he was charged with misappropriating over $220,000 from these sales. Prosecutors contended that Morgan deceived Lee into believing he was in peril, which resulted in Lee being evicted from his Hollywood Hills residence and relocating to a condominium in Beverly Hills. Authorities also claimed that Morgan submitted false 911 reports to substantiate his assertions, culminating in his arrest in May 2018.

Alongside the theft allegations, Morgan was accused of isolating Lee from his friends and family while taking control of his social media accounts. These legal issues intensified in June 2018 when an arrest warrant was issued for Morgan on five counts of elder abuse.

The situation escalated following a welfare check at Lee’s residence, during which police and a social worker were summoned to evaluate his condition. Morgan reportedly made misleading statements to the authorities, claiming they were impostors trespassing on Lee’s property, which led to his arrest for filing a false police report.

The legal intricacies intensified with claims that Morgan had orchestrated a $1 billion lawsuit initiated by Lee against Pow!
