Urvashi, the senior actress, entered the final round along with her Ullozhukku co-star, Parvathy Thiruvothu. Both Aadujeevitham and Ullozhukku, that were censored in 2023, have been considered for all the most popular categories, this year.

As reported earlier, the Kerala Government’s most prestigious honour dedicated to the talents of the film industry, had around 160 movie entries in its first round, this time. An external jury reportedly handpicked around 50 films from the initial list, and they made it to the second round of Kerala State Film Awards 2024. The films that entered the second round are personally screened by filmmaker Sudhir Mishra and the other jury members, including directors Lijo Jose Pellissery and Priyanandanan, cinematographer Azhagappan, and others.
