Kendrick Lamar is getting ready to make waves at the Super Bowl next month, planning to perform his controversial diss track aimed at Drake, titled Not Like Us, during the halftime show. Even with Drake's ongoing defamation lawsuit hanging over him, insiders told The US Sun that the 37-year-old rapper is totally unbothered by the legal issues and "doesn't care" about his rival's opinions.

This track has already hit over a billion streams on Spotify, and it's poised to make a big impact in front of millions at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.

Kendrick Lamar is set to drop a diss track aimed at Drake during the Super Bowl performance

Sources have told The US Sun that some folks are suggesting the rapper should leave a certain track out of his Super Bowl setlist due to fears it could stir up major controversy. But it seems Kendrick isn’t swayed by their concerns. According to these sources, “He’s not backing down. He doesn’t care what Drake thinks about the song; it’s a hit. Kendrick won’t be silenced.”

The tension between Drake and Kendrick shows no signs of cooling off. Another insider mentioned that Kendrick’s friend insists he won’t “give in to any threats or pressure from anyone.” The source added that Kendrick is eager to make “a lot of noise” during the Super Bowl.

The insider further explained, “Kendrick has nothing to lose and always does what he wants. He refuses to let anyone censor his creativity or his music. His message is clear: he’s going to do whatever he wants, no questions asked.”

Drake is suing his record label

Drake is ramping up his legal showdown with Universal Music Group (UMG) by filing a major lawsuit that claims the label is intentionally trying to ruin his reputation by backing Kendrick’s diss track, Not Like Us. In the suit, Drake argues that UMG not only promoted the song but also set up Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show to create public backlash and paint him as a “criminal paedophile,” according to The US Sun.

The court documents also pointed out a shooting incident at Drake’s home right after the song dropped, along with some drama over the track’s cover art, which supposedly links his house to registered sex offenders. UMG has called the lawsuit "ridiculous," but Drake's battle with his label, Spotify, and iHeartRadio is still making headlines.
