American singer and songwriter Kelly Clarkson relocated to New York City in 2023 with her daughter River and son Remington. The artist known for "Breakaway" is currently managing the responsibilities of hosting her talk show while also fulfilling her role as a single mother. As reported by People, Clarkson is refraining from dating at this time due to her children's preferences.

A source informed People, “Kelly tends to exist in her world. Her primary focus is on her children and her career; she takes great joy in motherhood. Her children have explicitly expressed their desire for her not to date, and as a result, she refrains from doing so.”

The source indicated that she is currently very content with her life. She recognizes that as her children grow older, the prospect of dating will become more manageable. At this time, she does not feel that she is missing out on anything.

Previously, Kelly also shared insights about her dating life during her appearance on the KOST 103.5 podcast. She conveyed her satisfaction with being single and mentioned that her children cannot envision her with anyone else at this stage. She remarked, “They frequently say, 'Please, we don't want you with anybody else.' Being young, it is challenging for them to imagine their mother with someone other than their father.” Additionally, she acknowledged that she would not always comply with her children's wishes, stating, "I have communicated that, 'Hey, I love you guys, but Mommy needs love too.'"

Kelly Clarkson was married to Brandon Blackstock for eight years before their separation in 2021. They have two children, River and Remington, from their marriage. Currently, Kelly serves as the host of the American daytime television variety talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she interviews a variety of celebrities. The show, which premiered in 2019, has garnered 22 Daytime Emmy Awards, including several for Best Talk Series and best talk series host. It has reportedly been renewed for a seventh season.
