Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep’s mother Saroja passed away on October 20, owing to age-related ailments. She was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Jayanagar when the end came on Sunday morning. Her mortal remains will be brought to the family home in JP Nagar for the final rites and for near-and-dear-ones to pay their respects. Sudeep is the youngest of three, and has two older sisters.

Condolences have been pouring in for the actor from the fraternity, as well as his fans. Although, his mother had been unwell, her passing was unexpected, what with the actor having scheduled public appearances on Sunday, including a movie outing to watch Dhruva Sarja’s Martin.

Sudeep has always been vocal about his close bond with his parents, choosing to stay with them in their JP Nagar home. Even at a press briefing ahead of his birthday in early September, the actor spoke at length about how his priority upon reaching Bengaluru from his shooting set in Mahabalipuram, was to meet his parents and spend time with them before heading off to other commitments.

On the work front, Kiccha Sudeep has been busy with the hosting duties of Bigg Boss Kannada. In fact, on Friday and Saturday, the actor and TV host was busy with the weekend episodes of Bigg Boss Kannada 11, which he has said will be his last in the role. He is also awaiting the release of the action thriller Max, which is his next after 2022 Vikrant Rona.
