Keerthy Suresh entered into matrimony with her long-time partner, Antony Thattil, in December 2024, following a 15-year courtship. The actress, who maintained a low profile regarding her relationship with the businessman until their wedding, disclosed the details of their dating history to Galatta India.

‘We had nightmares of eloping’

Keerthy Suresh disclosed that this New Year marks 15 years since Antony initially proposed to her. She recounted how she took the first step in their courtship, stating, “We go back to the days of Orkut; I was the one who made the first move. We engaged in conversation for about a month before we finally met at a restaurant. I was with my family at the time and couldn’t meet him directly, so I simply winked at him and left. Later, I challenged him, saying, if you have the courage, propose to me. He first proposed in 2010, and our relationship became serious in 2016. He gave me a promise ring that I wore until our marriage, and you can even see it in all my films.”

The actress also mentioned that she became emotional during her wedding, as it represented a ‘dream’ they had both cherished for a long time. “It truly felt like a dream, especially considering the nightmares we had about eloping. My heart was full; it was a deeply emotional moment for us. This is something we have always desired. We began dating when I was in the 12th grade, and he was seven years my senior, working in Qatar. Our relationship was long-distance for six years, and we only started living together during the pandemic. He has been incredibly supportive of my career. If anyone believes that this man is fortunate to have me, let me assure you, I am the lucky one to have him.”

Upcoming work

Keerthy's most recent appearance was in the Hindi remake of Theri, known as Baby John. This film, which represented her debut in Hindi cinema, premiered on December 25 but faced challenges at the box office. She is set to appear next in the Tamil films Revolver Rita and Kannivedi.
