Keerthy Suresh tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Antony Thattil, back in December. Before their wedding in Goa, she shared that they had been together for 15 years before finally making it official. In an interview with Galatta India, she mentioned that not many folks in the film industry were aware of her relationship with Antony.

Keerthy Suresh talks about why she prefers to keep her relationship under wraps

Keerthy opened up in an interview about keeping her relationship under wraps for 15 years, explaining that they prefer to keep things private. She mentioned, “Nobody knew; just a few close friends were in the loop. Even in the industry, only Sam (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) was aware, and Jagadish (Palanisamy) has been with us since the start. Atlee, Priya, Vijay sir, Kalyani (Priyadarshan), Aishwarya Lekshmi… just a handful of our industry friends knew.”

The actress also shared that they’re pretty skilled at staying low-key, as no one realized they had been planning their wedding since April 2022. “I thought the news would leak sooner, but we managed to keep it under wraps. We both really value our privacy. Thattil is not one for the spotlight… we don’t do the whole hand-holding thing in public; it’s just not our style. Our first trip abroad together was back in 2017 when Jagadish took us to Bangkok. We only went on a solo trip for the first time two years ago,” she added.

Keerthy shared in an interview that she first connected with Antony on Orkut back when she was in 12th grade. She mentioned that he was seven years her senior and was working in Qatar at the time. They were together for several years before she finally agreed to move in with him during the COVID-19 pandemic. She described their marriage as a ‘dream’ they had held onto for a long time. Recently, Keerthy made her Hindi film debut with Baby John and has upcoming roles in Revolver Rita and Kannivedi.
