Nana Patekar made an appearance on the show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. The seasoned actor was there to promote his new film Vanvaas alongside co-stars Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur, as well as director Anil Sharma. They recently filmed this special episode, which is set to air on Friday, December 13. A fun clip from Nana's KBC 16 episode has popped up online, where he shared behind-the-scenes details about his iconic 'aaloo lelo' scene from Anees Bazmee's Welcome.

On Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, a fan asked Nana Patekar if he realized that his scene from Welcome would turn into a 'cult moment.'

Nana responded, "I was ready to confront Anees! I thought, 'What is this nonsense? Just because we signed on, does that mean we have to do whatever you say?' But then Anees showed me the ropes—‘Grab the potato... get the onion…’ He insisted, 'Sir, just trust me, it’ll look great on you.' I told him, 'This feels odd, you go first!' He did it, and I just mimicked him. And you know what? It worked! So, all the credit for that legendary moment goes to Anees."

Nana Patekar recently shared some exciting news while chatting about his famous scene. He confirmed that he’s officially part of Housefull 5! He told this to the legendary Amitabh Bachchan during their conversation. "Just yesterday, I ran into Abhishek and mentioned, 'I just wrapped up shooting with you, and tomorrow, I’ll be on set with your dad!'" Nana revealed.

Nana's new movie, directed by Anil Sharma, is set to hit theaters on December 20, 2024. And just a little throwback, the film Welcome, directed by Anees Bazmee, came out back in 2006.
