Kartik Aaryan on shifting focus from money to passion

Aaryan informed HT City that he no longer discusses financial matters when approached for a film project. There was a time when he needed money, but now he has reached a point where he feels he doesn't work just for money.

While filming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Aaryan opened up about his motivations. Making films is a source of joy for him, and securing roles that bring joy to both him and the audience is his top priority, as it has satisfied him. Making sure people enjoy his work is crucial. His characters, not his fees, are what will stick in the audience's minds.

Challenges in the early career

In his early days, it was challenging for the actor, who was most recently seen in Chandu Champion, to secure meetings with producers. However, Aaryan asserts that the nature of the industry is unique. Not only do most people not care about these issues, but they also lack the time to address them. No other situation would allow them to perform their duties, he said.

This is why the actor would rather stay away from people who have been rude for no reason—to not just him but anyone else too—than deal with them. The way someone treats other people around them is the best indicator of their character. Aaryan added that he notices everything, whether he is at his lowest or his highest. Actually, it becomes more noticeable when one is riding high.

On the work front, Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will feature Aaryan alongside Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. The film is in its final stages of production and is gearing up for a Diwali 2024 release.
