Kartik Aaryan discussed the frequently mentioned issue of 'outsiders' in Bollywood facing challenges in securing acting roles compared to those from film families. The ongoing debate regarding insiders versus outsiders has persisted within the film industry for many years, and Kartik acknowledged that he has also experienced setbacks due to the prevailing bias towards star children.

In an interview with The Indian Express, Kartik expressed, "I have also experienced instances where I felt that I missed out on opportunities that perhaps I deserved more than someone who is connected to the industry by family ties or other means."

The discussion surrounding the insider versus outsider dynamic highlights the belief that young actors who are children or relatives of established stars have an advantage in securing roles compared to those who enter the industry without familial connections. Nevertheless, Kartik stated that he has come to terms with this reality. "It is not their fault. I have accepted this situation. Had I been born into such a family, I would likely have experienced the same advantages," the actor remarked.

Kartik experienced a successful year in 2024, marked by both critical recognition and commercial achievements. He made his debut in Kabir Khan's film, Chandu Champion. Although the movie did not perform well at the box office, Kartik received accolades for his role as Paralympic champion Murlikant Petkar in the sports biopic.

His subsequent release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, became a significant success, grossing nearly ₹400 crore during its Diwali release, surpassing the multi-starrer action film Singham Again, which premiered on the same day. He is also slated to appear in Aashiqui 3, which was announced in 2023; however, reports indicate that the film has been delayed.
