Actor Kartik Aaryan has responded following filmmaker Karan Johar's review of the first look of his forthcoming film featuring Sreeleela. Karan took to Instagram Stories to share a teaser clip of the film, commending the entire team involved.

Karan Johar expressed, "The essence of love stories... the fervor... the romance and the music! Such a great vibe!! Everything is on point!!! Looking forward (hug face and red heart emojis)." In response, Kartik posted on his Instagram, "Thank you, Love Guru (smiling face with sunglasses emoji)," while tagging Karan.

About the first look

On Saturday, the producers of Anurag Basu's untitled film unveiled the first look of Kartik in the project, alongside actor Sreeleela. This romantic drama is scheduled for release in theaters during Diwali 2025. In the initial glimpse, Kartik is depicted with a prominent beard, performing on a guitar at a large concert, reminiscent of the opening scene from Aashiqui 2. The video showcases the couple enjoying romantic moments in the mountains and riding motorcycles. There are speculations that the film may serve as a spiritual successor to Aashiqui and Aashiqui 2, although the producers have yet to confirm its title.

A slowed version of the song "Tu hi zindagi hai, tu hi aashiqui hai" plays in the background of the video, performed by Vishal Mishra. T-Series released the video on their YouTube channel.

The original Aashiqui, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, premiered in 1990 under T-Series and Vishesh Films, catapulting Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal to fame. The franchise was revived in 2013 with Aashiqui 2, directed by Mohit Suri and featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, which also achieved significant box-office success.
