Actor Kartik Aaryan has become the most recent Bollywood figure to address the alarming attack on fellow actor Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed by an unidentified intruder in his residence on Thursday morning. Kartik expressed that the entire community is in disbelief over the occurrence.

On Thursday, Kartik spoke to Screen regarding the incident involving Saif and remarked, “It is frightening and unfortunate. This places everyone in a highly vulnerable position. The incident has left many in shock. I sincerely hope he is recovering well. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family for a swift recovery.” Although Kartik has not collaborated with Saif, he did share screen time with Saif's daughter, Sara Ali Khan, in Imtiaz Ali's film Love Aaj Kal. There were rumours of a romantic relationship between them, but these have never been officially confirmed.

Many industry professionals have attributed the increasing dangers faced by celebrities to the growing paparazzi culture, asserting that the presence of photographers outside their residences creates security concerns. Kartik also commented on this issue, stating, “In the current environment, it is nearly impossible to evade paparazzi. They are aware of our whereabouts and activities. While it can become quite excessive at times, it is crucial to recognize that they are pursuing their profession. Ultimately, there exists a mutually beneficial relationship among paparazzi, media, and actors.” In a somewhat resigned tone, the actor concluded, “There is no definitive solution to this issue.”

Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident

An incident transpired when an intruder reportedly confronted the actor's maid at his residence in Bandra. As Saif attempted to step in and calm the situation, it escalated into a violent confrontation, leading to the actor suffering multiple stab wounds.

Saif was promptly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery conducted by a team of medical professionals. His representatives confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he was no longer in critical condition and had been transferred to the ICU. Later that evening, Kareena Kapoor, Saif's wife, released a statement requesting privacy. "This has been an extraordinarily difficult day for our family, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with the events that have occurred. As we navigate this challenging period, I respectfully ask that the media and paparazzi refrain from incessant speculation and coverage," the statement indicated.

"While we are grateful for the concern and support, the ongoing scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also present a considerable risk to our safety. I kindly urge you to respect our privacy and allow us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time," the statement continued.
