2 months ago | 5 Views
Bollywood is currently engaged in extensive discussions regarding the rising costs associated with the entourage of its actors, which are allegedly placing considerable pressure on film producers. Actor Kartik Aaryan has recently expressed his views on this topic, indicating that the situation may have been exaggerated.
Kartik opines
The actor addressed the topic of increasing entourage expenses during his participation in the SCREEN Live session held in Mumbai on Thursday. He noted that such matters are often exaggerated.
Kartik remarked, “Frequently, these issues are exaggerated. Even if only a few individuals exhibit such tendencies, it leads to the assumption that it applies to everyone. We are quite conscious of these matters, whether it pertain to our entourage fees or the financial aspects of the film. Everyone desires their film to be profitable, and the entire team must receive fair compensation. No one should be underpaid. When numerous rumours regarding entourage fees surfaced recently, I felt that the situation was indeed overstated.”
The actor further emphasized his awareness of his entourage's expenses. He stated, “This is not a phenomenon that applies to every individual or actor in the industry today. While it may occur with some, it is not universal. I strive to ensure that both my entire team and the producers are satisfied with their respective payments.”
What’s next for Kartik?
Following a successful 2023 marked by the releases of Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik Aaryan has turned his attention to his upcoming projects. Recently, he has adopted a new appearance characterized by long hair and a prominent beard, prompting speculation about whether this is his look for Anurag Basu's forthcoming untitled epic musical love story. Earlier this month, Kartik also revealed that he will star in the upcoming film produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, titled Tu Meri Main Tera Tu Meri.
His most recent performance was in Anees Bazmee's horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which achieved significant success at the box office. In this film, he reprised his role as the ghostbuster Rooh Baba from the blockbuster sequel released in 2022. The film grossed over ₹250 crore in the Indian market.
