Kartik Aaryan has recently unveiled a new, rugged appearance characterized by a moustache and beard, complemented by his trademark thick hair. During a recent encounter with the paparazzi, the actor suggested that his updated look draws inspiration from Allu Arjun's well-known titular role in Sukumar's successful Telugu action thriller series, Pushpa.

A paparazzo account on Instagram posted a video capturing Kartik's outing in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. He was dressed in a light grey T-shirt paired with matching denim and a cap. As he departed in his SUV, he playfully engaged with the paparazzi, who praised his new appearance. In response, Kartik acknowledged their compliments and performed the iconic Pushpa move popularized by Allu Arjun. While seated in the vehicle, the photographers requested him to repeat the gesture. Kartik complied nonchalantly, remarking, “Achhi picture hai (It's a good film),” before driving away.
Pushpa is a notable subject of discussion.
Pushpa is a highly successful franchise produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Under the direction of Sukumar, the initial instalment – Pushpa: The Rise – not only achieved pan-India success but also earned Allu Arjun a National Award for Best Actor, marking a historic first for any actor from the Telugu film industry. The cast included notable actors such as Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
The sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, premiered in theatres earlier this month. Its dubbed version made history as the first Hindi film to surpass ₹700 crore at the domestic box office, surpassing the previous record held by Amar Kaushik's horror comedy Stree 2, which had been the highest-grossing Hindi film in India earlier this year.
In a related development, Kartik recently achieved success with Anees Bazmee's horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, where he reprised his role as the ghostbuster Rooh Baba from the 2022 blockbuster sequel. The film, which also featured Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri, and Rajpal Yadav, grossed over ₹250 crore at the Indian box office.
Kartik is set to appear next in an Anurag Basu romantic drama, Sandeep Modi's biographical action film, and Sameer Vidwans' romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri.
