The highly anticipated Kanguva trailer was released by leading man Suriya, director Siva, and the team on social media, recently. As expected, the glimpses of the actor-director duo’s fantasy world highly impressed the netizens with its sheer scale, visuals, and the appearances of Suriya and Bollywood star Bobby Deol. Meanwhile, many cine-goers believe the mysterious figure who appears in the Kanguva trailer is none other than Karthi, who is expected to make a cameo appearance in the film.

Karthi appears in Kanguva trailer? Netizens think so

The netizens, who are highly impressed with the Kanguva trailer, are now busy decoding the hints it gave out about the world created by director Siva. Along with decoding Suriya and Bobby Deol’s looks and characters, the film fanatics also noticed the presence of a mysterious figure. The trailer begins with the visual of the undisclosed character, who is seen watching a valley and tribal village, from a distance.

While many netizens think that it is Karthi, who is seen in the opening shot of the Kanguva trailer, some others believe that he is the one who is seen arriving on a white horse at a supposedly war place. “#Kanguva Suriya & Karthi Faceoff Loading...” wrote a netizen. “Imagine @Karthi_Offl in this frame,” wrote another cine-goer, who shared a screengrab of Kanguva trailer. “This is Karthi from Kanguva. Diff hairdo, diff clan color on his arm, diff tribal costume,” pointed out another fan.

Suriya is playing double role as the titular character Kanguva, a tribal leader who lived over 5000 years back, and a modern man who is on a mission, in the upcoming Suriya starrer. Bobby Deol, the popular Bollywood star is making his debut in Tamil cinema as the lead antagonist Udhiran, in the period fantasy film. Disha Patani is said to be playing the female lead opposite Suriya in the film. But surprisingly, the actress was missing from all the promo material of Kanguva, that are released so far.
