Bollywood enthusiasts are in for a surprise regarding their beloved stars. At the IIFA 2025 press conference held in Jaipur on Saturday, former co-stars and ex-partners Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were seen sharing a heartwarming moment. The paparazzi captured the two as they embraced and engaged in conversation while onlookers observed the interaction.

Fans of Geet and Aditya, the beloved characters from the acclaimed film Jab We Met, expressed their joy upon witnessing the amicable interaction between the two, years after their public separation. One individual remarked, “Finally acting like matured individuals,” while another commented, “Miracle ✨ Happy to see this.” A third person inquired, “Omg kya ho gaya yeh (What has happened)?”

Kareena and Shahid's history

Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor share a significant history, having dated for an extended period in the late 2000s and collaborated on films such as Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and Jab We Met. Their on-screen chemistry captivated audiences, and they were equally adored as a couple in real life. However, their relationship ended shortly before the filming of Jab We Met commenced. Subsequently, Kareena married actor Saif Ali Khan, with whom she has two sons, while Shahid wed Mira Rajput and has a son and a daughter with her.

Currently, Shahid, Kareena, and others are in Jaipur for the IIFA 2025. Kareena is set to perform on stage during the main event and will also pay tribute to her grandfather, Raj Kapoor.

The 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is taking place in Jaipur, Rajasthan. 

The celebrations commenced on Saturday, March 8, with the Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards Co-Presented By NEXA, marking their inaugural event. This occasion highlights the innovative achievements in OTT and digital entertainment, reflecting IIFA's commitment to the industry's evolving dynamics.

The grand finale is scheduled for Sunday, March 9, and it will honor cinematic excellence and celebrate the significant influence of Indian cinema on the global stage. This year, Kartik Aaryan will host the IIFA Awards.

The 25th edition of the IIFA promises to evoke nostalgia among cinema enthusiasts with a special tribute to Ramesh Sippy's iconic film 'Sholay.'
