In November of the previous year, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar is said to have enlisted Prithviraj Sukumaran for the cast of the Kareena Kapoor-led film Daayra. Recently, the sighting of Kareena and Prithviraj together has sparked speculation among fans about the film's imminent production.

Kareena and Prithviraj were recently seen together in Mumbai, both dressed in shades of blue during their outing. They sported sky-blue shirts paired with royal blue denim jeans. As Kareena departed in her car, Prithviraj was observed bidding her farewell. A Reddit user posted the video, commenting, “So Daayra is happening?”

Reddit users have been enthusiastically praising Prithviraj's appearance and expressing their eagerness to see him and Kareena together on screen. One user commented, “I hope this new film is successful, as it marks the first collaboration between Meghna, Kareena, and Prithviraj.” Another remarked, “OMG, Prithviraj looks incredible here. Previously, a source informed India Today Digital, “After Ayushmann Khurrana and Sidharth Malhotra had to withdraw from Daayra due to scheduling issues, Prithviraj was approached. He resonated with the script and the film's message. His character plays a crucial role in advancing the story, while Kareena’s character will be portrayed in a new light, showcasing strength, vulnerability, and intuition. Prithviraj has reviewed the script and is very enthusiastic about it, although he has not yet finalized his agreement for the film.”

In the realm of cinema, Prithviraj's latest film, L2: Empuraan, which he directed, has emerged as a significant box office triumph, despite facing some controversies. The movie features a talented cast, including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Andrea Tivadar, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Kishore, Nyla Usha, and Eriq Ebouaney, and has garnered ₹100 crore in India within just 12 days, maintaining its impressive performance.

Kareena's most recent appearance was in Singham Again, which also starred Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh in prominent roles.
