Actor Kareena Kapoor's team has stated the stabbing of her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan. Saif is currently at Lilavati Hospital undergoing surgery. The doctors have said that the attacker missed any vital organs and the actor's spine is ok. The attack took place at Saif and Kareena's Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday.

Kareena Kapoor's team issues statement

In a communication to the press, Kareena's representatives stated, "An attempted burglary occurred at the residence of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan last night. Saif sustained an injury to his arm and is currently hospitalized for a procedure. The rest of the family is in good health."

The statement called on the media to refrain from speculation and emphasized, "We kindly ask the media and fans to exercise patience and avoid further speculation, as the police are actively conducting their investigations." This message was issued by Team Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Earlier in the day, Saif's representatives also released an official statement: "An attempted burglary took place at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is presently in the hospital undergoing surgery. We urge the media and fans to remain patient, as this is a matter for the police. We will provide updates as the situation develops."

Saif Ali Khan's injuries

An unidentified individual gained entry into Saif Ali Khan's residence and engaged in a dispute with his domestic staff at approximately 2:30 AM on Thursday. According to a source from the Mumbai Police cited by the news agency ANI, "When the actor attempted to intervene and calm the individual, he was assaulted, resulting in injuries to Saif Ali Khan. The police are currently investigating the incident."

At the time of the attack, Saif's wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, along with their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were present in the home. Saif's elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, later arrived and transported the actor to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgical procedures.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, informed HT that the actor sustained six wounds. A physician at the hospital, who requested to remain anonymous, revealed to HT that a fragment of a knife was discovered within the actor's body, and medical professionals are still assessing the extent of the injuries. Nevertheless, the actor is reportedly able to move his limbs, indicating that his spine is intact.
