The recent assault on Saif Ali Khan has sent shockwaves through the film industry and among his admirers. The actor is currently hospitalized due to several injuries he sustained. Notably, Kareena Kapoor was not present at their residence, as she was enjoying a girls' night out with her sister Karisma Kapoor and friends Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor just hours before the attempted robbery.

Two hours before the assault on Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Mumbai during a burglary attempt, Kareena Kapoor posted a photograph from her evening out with friends, which included Karisma Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Rhea Kapoor. The image depicted the group enjoying drinks together.

What happened to Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan and his family were asleep when an intruder reportedly entered his residence in Mumbai. The assailant attacked Saif, inflicting multiple stab wounds, after which he was swiftly transported to Lilavati Hospital. Medical personnel indicated that one of the injuries was severe, necessitating ten stitches, although it did not compromise his spinal integrity. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, noted that Saif's son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, hurried to his father's side upon learning of the incident and subsequently accompanied him to the hospital.

A physician at Lilavati Hospital, who preferred to remain unnamed, informed HT that a fragment of the knife was discovered within Saif’s body, and further assessments of the injury are ongoing.

Saif Ali Khan's team released a statement regarding his condition and the circumstances surrounding the incident at his home. The statement conveyed, "An attempted burglary occurred at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is presently in the hospital receiving surgical treatment. We kindly ask the media and fans for their patience. This is a matter for the police. We will provide updates as the situation develops."

Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan's co-star in Devara, also expressed his dismay over the distressing event and extended wishes for a swift recovery. Additionally, Pooja Bhatt took to social media to raise concerns about law and order following the stabbing incident at the actor's home in Mumbai.
