Actor Kareena Kapoor was beaming as she showed up for the launch of celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar’s latest book, The Common Sense Diet, in Mumbai. During the event, she chatted about her passion for khichdi, a dish she claims she can't live without.

In a recent interaction posted by a paparazzi account on Instagram, Kareena mentioned, “Khichdi is my go-to comfort food. If I go two or three days without it, I really start to crave it!” Khichdi is a popular South Asian dish that combines rice and lentils (dal) and comes in various styles.

Kareena chuckled and continued, “I’ll text Rujuta and tell her there’s no khichdi at home. I can’t get any sleep without it! Just like you mentioned needing a drink, I really can’t function without my khichdi!”

On Monday, Kareena and her husband, Saif Ali Khan, marked Eid with a lovely family lunch. Saif’s sister, Saba Pataudi, shared some photos on Instagram, captioning them, “Family matters most.” This Eid was particularly special for Saif, as it was his first celebration with family since he was attacked at home in January and had to go through several surgeries.

Kareena also made an appearance at the Vivienne Westwood show in Mumbai on Tuesday evening, looking absolutely gorgeous in a red gown with a thigh-high slit as she posed for the cameras.

On the professional side, Kareena has three projects lined up for 2024: Crew, The Buckingham Murders, and Singham Again. The latter, directed by Rohit Shetty, features stars like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. She’s also collaborating with Raazi director Meghna Gulzar for her upcoming film.
