In a new interview with Miss Malini, Kareena was asked how the day goes when one of her films does not do great. Reacting to this, Bebo opened up about The Buckingham Murders and called the film an indie kind of movie.
She said, "Each film has a different audience, especially in today’s time. The audience that’s going to watch Singham (Again) is obviously not the audience for Buckingham Murders, it was more English, cerebral, an indie kind of movie."
She further added that Jaane Jaan's Netflix audience is different than the audience that is going to watch Crew. "You have to understand how to balance that out, and that, I think, I have learnt to do," Kareena added.
Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders might get a prequel
During an interaction with Mid Day earlier, Hansal Mehta was asked whether he has considered doing a sequel to The Buckingham Murders.
The filmmaker said that he has a prequel planned for Jasmeet already. According to Mehta, it's a tale about her origins and how she became the person she is now. When asked about the possibility of Mehta, Kareena, and Ektaa R. Kapoor reuniting for this project, he stated that there is no doubt in his mind.
The Buckingham Murders follows the story of a mother (also a detective), who investigates the murder of a 10-year-old in Buckinghamshire, where almost everyone in the small town is a suspect. The film featured an ensemble including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ash Tandon, Keith Allen, and Ranveer Brar.
Directed by Hansal Mehta, the film is written by Aseem Arora, Raghav Raj Kakker, and Kashyap Kapoor. It is bankrolled by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
