Actor Kareena Kapoor recently had an audience with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, during which she took the opportunity to acquire a unique keepsake for her children, Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan. The actor also posted photographs from the meeting, featuring her extended family, which includes her husband Saif Ali Khan, brother Ranbir Kapoor, sister-in-law Alia Bhatt, and sister Karisma Kapoor.

On Wednesday, Kareena took to Instagram to share highlights from a recent meeting. Notably, Prime Minister Modi's autograph for her sons garnered significant attention. This meeting was part of a broader event where the Kapoor family, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Karisma Kapoor, convened with PM Modi to extend an invitation for the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, which honours the 100th birth anniversary of the esteemed actor.
In her post, Kareena expressed, “We are profoundly humbled and honoured to have received an invitation from the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor.”
“Thank you, Shri Modi ji, for such a memorable afternoon. Your kindness, attention, and support in recognizing this significant milestone meant everything to us. As we commemorate 100 glorious years of Dadaji’s artistry, vision, and contributions to Indian cinema, we pay tribute to the enduring influence of his legacy, which continues to inspire us and future generations. We take pride in showcasing his iconic films and reflecting on the profound impact he had on Indian cinema through the ‘Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival’,” she further stated.
In the images, Kareena is depicted alongside Prime Minister Modi, accompanied by Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, Rima Jain, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Anissa Malhotra, Nitasha Nanda, Manoj Jain, and Nikhil Nanda.
One photograph captures her standing while PM Modi signs a page. The subsequent image reveals that this is a unique autograph intended for her sons, in which he refers to them as “Tim and Jeh.”
About the film festival
The visit occurred just days before the centenary celebration of the late Raj Kapoor's birth on December 14. PVR INOX Limited, in collaboration with the Film Heritage Foundation, will host the RK Film Festival to honor the filmmaker and actor's 100th birth anniversary.
Taking place from December 13 to 15, the festival will encompass 101 cinemas across 34 cities, marking one of the most comprehensive retrospectives ever dedicated to Raj Kapoor's cinematic legacy. His timeless classics will be presented on the big screen, providing both devoted fans and new viewers an opportunity to appreciate the magnificence of his innovative filmmaking. The festival will include a carefully curated selection of Kapoor's renowned films, such as Awara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Sangam (1964), and Mera Naam Joker (1970), among others.
