Kareena stated, “Today has been an exceptionally difficult day for our family, and we are still in the process of coming to terms with what has transpired. As we work through this trying time, I earnestly request that the media and paparazzi cease their relentless speculation and coverage.” She expressed her appreciation for the concern shown but underscored that the ongoing media focus posed a considerable threat to the family's safety. “While we are grateful for the support and concern, the unending scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also represent a significant risk to our well-being,” she remarked.

The actress concluded her message by appealing for respect and understanding, stating, “I kindly ask that you honor our boundaries and allow us the space necessary to heal and cope as a family. I thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”

The incident that prompted this heartfelt appeal occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Saif’s residence in Bandra. At approximately 2:30 am, an intruder reportedly confronted the actor’s maid, and when Saif attempted to intervene, the situation escalated into violence. The actor suffered multiple stab wounds, one of which penetrated his spine, resulting in severe damage to his thoracic spinal cord. He was swiftly transported to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to extract the 2.5-inch knife from his spine and repair a leaking spinal fluid.

Saif's condition is currently stable, and he is reported to be "out of danger," yet medical professionals are diligently overseeing his recovery process. In light of the seriousness of the situation, the continuous media scrutiny has led Kareena to request privacy. As the family navigates this distressing experience, supporters and fans have conveyed their encouragement, wishing for Saif's complete recovery while acknowledging the necessity for privacy during this difficult period.
