Actor Kareena Kapoor has spoken out about her husband, Saif Ali Khan, being stabbed during a reported burglary at their home in Mumbai. She urged everyone to respect their privacy during this tough time, describing it as a challenging day. Kareena also asked people to avoid "endless speculation and media coverage."

Kareena Kapoor shares her thoughts

Kareena took to Instagram to address the situation involving her husband. In her post, she expressed that the ongoing attention has become too much and is putting her family at risk.

“It’s been a really tough day for us, and we’re still trying to wrap our heads around everything that’s happened. As we deal with this hard time, I kindly ask the media and paparazzi to stop the endless speculation and coverage,” Kareena shared.

She continued, “We truly appreciate the love and support, but the constant attention is not just overwhelming; it also threatens our safety. I ask that you respect our privacy and allow us the space we need to heal and get through this together as a family.”

Kareena expressed her gratitude to everyone for their support during this tough period. She wrapped up her message by saying, “Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate through this sensitive time.”

Stars show up to lend their support

Kareena asked for some privacy while going through a tough time, and her friends from the industry really rallied around her. Arjun Kapoor shared her post, saying, “It’s important for everyone to read, hear, and understand this with respect.” His sister Sonam also jumped in and re-shared it.

Konkona Sensharma added her voice too, posting, "Let them be! We don’t need to watch them coming in and out of the hospital.”

Someone tried to break into Saif and Kareena's house

On Thursday, Saif was attacked in his 12th-floor apartment in the fancy Bandra area, where an intruder stabbed him multiple times with a knife. The 54-year-old actor had to undergo emergency surgery but is now in stable condition, according to the doctors at Lilavati Hospital, where he was taken right after the incident around 2:30 am.

After the attack, Saif's staff quickly got him to Lilavati Hospital in an auto rickshaw. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the hospital's chief operating officer, later shared with the media that Saif suffered six injuries, including two serious ones. They had to perform surgery to remove a knife that was stuck near his spine. Thankfully, Saif is now stable and out of danger.
