Karan Veer Mehra is soaking up all the love from fans after being crowned the winner of Bigg Boss 18. He shared a heartfelt tribute on his Instagram Stories, posting a picture of the late Sushant Singh Rajput to honor him on what would have been his 39th birthday.

Karan hopped on his Instagram Stories to post a throwback pic from a while back. In the snap, he and Sushant were caught in a fun moment, with Sushant cracking up. Karan captioned it, “I wish you were here to see this, bhai.” He also included a cheerful birthday gif and tagged it with #SSR.

Sushant's sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, took a moment to honor him on what would have been his 39th birthday. She shared, “You’re more than just a memory—you’re a vibrant energy, a powerful force that keeps inspiring us. Bhai, the love for you is beyond words, and the void you left is immeasurable. Today, we celebrate everything you were—your brilliance, your passion, and your boundless spirit.”

Sushant was discovered dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. His father filed a complaint against actress Rhea Chakraborty, claiming she was involved in his suicide. Both Rhea and her brother, Showik Chakraborty, were taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug case tied to Sushant. They were released on bail after a few months. His last film, Dil Bechara, came out after his passing.

On another note, Karan Veer won Bigg Boss after three months in the house, walking away with ₹50 lakh in prize money. Vivian Dsena finished as the first runner-up in the show hosted by Salman Khan.
