On Sunday, Karan utilized his Instagram Stories to share an extensive message regarding the controversy. He started with, “A tooth for a tooth will NOT render the entire world sightless; the final individual will still possess one eye, and we are all aware of who that final individual could be. However, the actual question is, would YOU choose to stop the cycle of hatred and improve the world? That’s precisely what my poem conveyed. ”I hope the offenders get the harshest penalty
The message continued, "My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the Pahalgam attack." Let the perpetrators receive the harshest punishment they merit. We are unafraid. We are not scared. "Quote Suniel Shetty sir 'Agli chutti Kashmir mein (Next holiday will be in Pahalgam),' he concluded.
Karan was quoting a statement made by actor Suniel Shetty on the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. At the sidelines of the Lata Deenanath Mageshkar Award 2025 ceremony, the actor told the media, "Humein nagrik ki taraf se ek hi karna hai, humein yeh decide karna hah ki aaj se agli chutti jo humaari hogi, woh Kashmir mein hi hogi aur kahi nahi hogi." Unko yeh dikhana hai ki humein darr nahi hai, aur vakayi mein darr hai nahi (As a citizen, we have to do one thing. We must choose to spend our next vacation only in Kashmir. We have to demonstrate to them that we are not afraid and that there is really no cause for alarm.
In his prior article, Karan posted a video of himself reciting a poem about how the terrorists have divided the nation along religious lines and how humanity has been lost. The actor was criticized for creating a dramatic video at a time of sorrow, and many viewers were let down by it.
